A Fine Fall Day Means FUN!

Manitowalker - Now, in it's 23rd year, the day kicks off at 8:30 a.m. with the AVA (American Volkssport Association) sanctioned 6-mile walk that begins and ends in downtown Manitowoc and includes a beautiful stretch of scenic Lake Michigan shoreline along the way. An award medallion (sponsored by a local organization or business) is presented to the finishing walkers.
Afer the walk, you may enjoy Harvest Fest (with downtown merchants) and the Manitowoc Farmer's Marketing decorated with harvest decorations. Children can enjoy scarecrow mascots providing 'treats,' treasure hunt and a receive a map of 'clues', then try and hunt down the Farmer's Market treasures. Additionally, a food drive will collect food for area pantries.
The day attracts a large number of people, many of them returning year after year to enjoy the beautiful scenic shore and the emerging fall colors!
