A Fine Fall Day Means FUN!

OktoberFest / Manitowalker
Saturday - October 3, 2009

Manitowalker - Now, in it's 23rd year, the day kicks off at 8:30 a.m. with the AVA (American Volkssport Association) sanctioned 6-mile walk that begins and ends in downtown Manitowoc and includes a beautiful stretch of scenic Lake Michigan shoreline along the way. An award medallion (sponsored by a local organization or business) is presented to the finishing walkers.

After the walk (or instead of it) everyone can enjoy the many areas of entertainment throughout the downtown, complete with authentic German food and drink.

Sidewalk sales, in-store craft projects and Art in the Park are just a few of the many additional activities going on. Food and Craft vendors vary by year.

The day attracts a large number of people, many of them returning year after year to enjoy the beautiful scenic shore and the emerging fall colors!
